KAWS - Brown Companion Flayed

This open edition collectible vinyl sculpture by KAWS (Brian Donnelly) is a Flayed Brown Companion released 22/11/2016 in conjunction with his "Where The End Starts" exhibit in Fort Worth, Texas.
An iconic figure in KAWS' work, the companion has appeared in many different iterations and on several different mediums throughout the years. After demand increased, KAWS released a full series of six different companions that included both full body and flayed versions of the classic character. This KAWS Open Edition Flayed Companion in Brown features an open-body design with various shades of brown and beige on both the interior and outside.

About the artist:
Brian Donnelly, known professionally as KAWS is a multi-faceted artist straddling the worlds of art and design in his prolific body of work that ranges from paintings, murals, and large-scale sculptures to product design and toy-making. His iconic “XX" signature has its roots in the beginning of his career as a street artist in the 1990s, when he began altering found advertisements by incorporating his own masterful paintings. His work is exhibited in galleries and museums, held in the permanent collections of public institutions, and avidly collected by individuals, including music producer Swizz Beatz, rapper Pharrell Williams, and members of South Korean boy band BTS.
