How to Use a Smudge Stick

Prepare Your Space: Open windows and doors to allow negative energy to leave.

Set an Intention : Focus on what you want to cleanse or invite into your space.

Light the Smudge Stick: Let it catch fire, then blow it out to produce smoke.

Cleansing Your Space: Start at the front door and move clockwise through each room. Use a feather or your hand to waft the smoke into corners and around objects. Spend extra time in areas where energy feels heavy.

Cleansing Your Crystals: Hold the crystal and pass it through the smoke several times, covering all sides.

Cleansing Yourself: Waft the smoke around your body from head to toe to help draw negative energy away from the body and ground it, promoting a complete cleansing process.

Stay Safe: Hold a fireproof bowl under the smudge stick to catch ash and embers. Extinguish Properly: Press the stick into sand or a bowl to ensure it’s fully out.
