IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE USE, PRECAUTIONS AND CARE OF YOUR ESSENTIAL OILS:
ESSENTIAL OILS.
are for external use only
must be diluted before use on skin
are very concentrated, so ensure you measure exactly the number of drops you wish to use, particularly in carrier oils or creams
USING YOUR ESSENTIAL OILS.
There are many ways you can use your essential oils and there is a wealth of information in books (check our book section) and online.
Following is a wee guide to help you get started.
ESSENTIAL OILS IN DIFFUSERS, VAPOURISERS, ELECTRIC OIL BURNERS, TEALIGHT OIL BURNERS
you may like to start with 5 drops, increasing in strength to 10 drops if required you don't need water in electric burners
be aware that different oils will burn off at different rates when blended, which means that over-time the smell could change if one burns off quicker
DO SOME RESEARCH
ESSENTIAL OILS IN ROOM SPRAYS.
a good rule of thumb is to dilute to 3%
in room sprays you will need a 1 to 8 ratio of an emulsifier to essential oil (depending on the strength of fragrance you want), mixed with water

DO SOME RESEARCH
ESSENTIAL OILS IN CARRIER OILS AND CREAMS.
For adults and children 12 years and over.
a good rule of thumb is to dilute to 3%
in creams 3 mls oil to 100 grams of cream
add 10 drops to 20mls carrier oil
or 25 drops to 50mIs carrier oil
AGAIN, DO SOME RESEARCH
BABIES & CHILDREN UNDER 12.
It is the recommendation of our supplier that you seek the advice of a Registered Practitioner when using essential oils on children under 12 years of age because of a lack of research in this area.
STORING YOUR ESSENTIAL OILS.
keep out of the reach of children
store in a cool, dark and dry place with their caps securely fastened
use only glass or stainless steel containers to store your essential oils
do not use bottles with a rubber dropper lid or plastic containers as your oils will deteriorate quickly, making them unusable
you can store essential oils that are blended with a carrier oil or cream in plastic containers
SEEK THE ADVICE OF A TRAINED AROMATHERAPIST WHEN USING ESSENTIAL OILS IF YOU.
