Welcome to Alta. On arrival at Alta Airport, you will be transferred to the Sorrisniva Arctic Wilderness Resort where accommodation is reserved for the following three nights.

The premium 24 room Arctic Wilderness Lodge has been designed along the bank of the internationally renowned Alta River in Norway’s high Arctic to offer guests premium accommodation combined with a large lounge, restaurant, and bar area. The central area has high glass facades offering magnificent views over the river and surrounding wilderness. The lodge development has created a unique experience for discerning guests wishing to experience the traditional Sorrisniva seasonal offerings including the Ice Hotel, Northern Lights, Midnight Sun, snowmobile safaris and riverboat excursions, whilst staying in a premium quality lodge enjoying the world famous Sorrisniva cuisine and hospitality. Optional (own cost - prebooking recommended): This evening you may like to dine in the hotel's Maku Restaurant for a culinary experience overlooking the Alta River and surrounding wilderness.
Sorrisniva is renowned for its culinary experience which is based upon locally sourced produce. Their chefs create unique dishes using the best ingredients from Arctic Norway including reindeer and moose from the tundra, seafood from the Alta River and Norwegian sea, vegetables from local farms and berries picked in the local wilderness. Overnight in a River Room at the Sorrisniva Arctic Wilderness Resort Day 2: Alta (B)

Start your day with an exhilarating husky sledding adventure along the Alta River. This thrilling experience takes you sledding through the serene pine forest. With two people per sled, one will take the reins as the musher while the other enjoys the ride, with opportunities to switch roles along the way. After returning to the kennel, you'll have the chance to interact with the huskies and enjoy storytelling around a bonfire in a traditional tipi.

In the evening, embark on a Sami and Reindeer Experience, set against the backdrop of the Arctic winter night. Meet a Sami guide and his reindeers and set off in a reindeer sled to seek out the mesmerizing Northern Lights. Throughout the journey, your guide will share captivating stories about Sami culture and the legends surrounding the Northern Lights. This peaceful and enchanting adventure offers a unique glimpse into the natural and cultural wonders of the Arctic.

Overnight in a River Room at the Sorrisniva Arctic Wilderness Resort Day 3: Alta (B) This morning you will be taken on an Arctic Light Snowmobile Experience. Experience the Arctic light and nature while driving your own snowmobile from Sorrisniva through the Alta Valley and up to the Finnmark Plateau. The sun and the Arctic light vary during the winter season. Around noon the Arctic light is brightest and can often create wonderful light and colours on the horizon. These special light conditions are even better seen from the Finnmark Plateau with its wide, snow-covered expanse. Your experienced guide will provide you with your thermal suit, boots, gloves and helmet, as well as instruct you on how to drive the snowmobile properly so that you can go wild in safe hands. NB: All drivers must be a minimum of 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, and are required to sign a liability waiver before the start of the tour.

This afternoon discover the Igloo Hotel on a guided tour. The Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel was the second of its kind and is the World's Northernmost Igloo Hotel. Each year their experienced artists and builders come together to build a new and unique hotel with a special theme. The Igloo Hotel has an area of 2,500 m2 and it takes 250 tonnes of ice and
