Kotare Feather Necklace

Maori admired the diminuitive Kotare (Sacred Kingfisher) for its alert sentry, quickly diving from a lofty perch to attack prey in a sudden blur. These watchful guardians of the forest have brilliant electric blue, green and creamy yellow feathers.

Sterling silver feather (2.5cm long), handpainted in vivid blue and aqua porcelain paints and suspended from a 45cm fine sterling silver chain, with a 5cm extender.
