BaitJunkie Jighead 2X

After two and a half years of development, Bait Junkie Jig Heads have finally arrived. This innovative product is the result of collaboration among Daiwa Australia’s product development team, seasoned Daiwa angler Kris Hickson, and extensive field testing in New Zealand. Bait Junkie Jig Heads provide a distinctive set of features that enhance performance in a frequently overlooked category.
Everything begins with the hook. Bait Junkie Jig Heads utilize high-quality BKK hooks, combined with Daiwa’s SaqSas hook coating – a super-slick, Teflon-like finish that boosts the hook's penetrating power, resulting in a superior hook-up ratio. These jig heads are available in a 2X strong BKK heavy wire and come in various weights and sizes to accommodate a wide range of saltwater and freshwater applications.
One of the most remarkable features is the unique bait keeper. This design evolved over 18 months and through more than 25 prototypes. The aim was to create a bait keeper that works exceptionally well with Daiwa’s stretchy ELASTOMAX material from their Bait Junkie soft plastics, preventing the frustrating issue of the plastic sliding down over the keeper and becoming tangled.
The head design of the Bait Junkie Jig Head features a predominantly cylindrical shape with a flat back for easy and clean rigging. Its flattened 'chin' works in tandem with Daiwa’s buoyant ELASTOMAX material to maintain a 'tail up' posture when the bait rests on the bottom, even in challenging hard bottom conditions where a bullet-shaped head would struggle.
But the features don’t stop there; even the packaging has been thoughtfully designed for convenience and long-term storage. Bait Junkie Jig Heads are packaged in a resealable zip-lock bag, ensuring that brand-new jig heads remain protected from wet tackle boxes that could cause rust before they are even used. Additionally, the sticker indicating weight and size is easily removable, allowing it to be reattached to a tackle box or storage tray for straightforward identification when transporting a box full of jig heads in your boat or bag.
