Plants will produce best results with regular watering. Try to avoid splashing water on the leaves to prevent garden fungal diseases, especially in warm weather. It is most productive in warm and dry conditions, but can tolerate most frost-free climates. Please note that it is tender to frosts.
Cucumbers are fun to grow. Being trailing plants they can be grown as a sprawling vine along the ground, or trained up a trellis or framework where space is limited.
Best picked when young and fresh, as when left on the vine too long they can develop some bitterness in flavour. Cucumbers generally don't keep for too long unless pickled, so cut and enjoy in salads or sandwiches while crisp and tasty.
Did you know? The word Pickle comes from the Dutch word Pekel or Northern German Pókel, meaning salt or brine. APPROX SEEDS PER PACKET: HOME GARDEN ($3.90) 20 seeds
