Type IIR disposable surgical masks are designed to help the wearer prevent the spread of respiratory droplets produced by coughing or sneezing , they also feature a splash-resistant layer of fabric that in turn, protects the wearer from splashes of blood and bodily fluids.

Grace and August 3-ply face masks have an integrated nose clip to ensure a close fit and are certified for medical use.

Type IIR Face Masks are often used for infection control in hospitals, clinics, general practice surgeries, dental surgeries, and other healthcare institutions.
