Beeswax pellets, NZ, certified organic

Characteristics: we stock the lemon to yellow colour of varying intensity with a fine-grain matt, non-crystalline fracture. Becomes soft and pliable when warmed by hand. Odour characteristic of honey. Practically insoluble in water, completely soluble in volatile and fixed oils.
Processing: The very highest grade certified organic crude cappings beeswax is gently melted over clean un-treated bore water and is then allowed to settle. Any dross or residual honey settles into the water upon which the beeswax is floating. Heating is kept to a bare minimum to preserve the natural properties of the beeswax. The beeswax is then passed through a pelletising machine.
