Small Marsden Flower Jade Porohita Pendant

This Porohita is 27mm in diameter. It is carved from pounamu we have collected from the Marsden Valley in the Paroa area just outside of Greymouth on the West Coast of the South Island. The Porohita is shaped on the back side so that it is comforting to rub with the thumb while being worn.

It is the Putiputi Pounamu - The 'Marsden Flower Jade' and is called this because of the intense green and unique golden, yellow, orange or creamy colours (the flower) in the pounamu which are found in the Marsden Area.

The Porohita has an extremely strong, waxed nylon cord so the pendant can be worn ALL the time - even in any kind of water. The cord is adjustable by pinching the special knots between your thumb and finger and pulling.

Pendant Meaning : The Porohita / disc represents the circle of life which has no beginning or end. In life the opportunities are endless so with this pendant you can achieve whatever you want to in life.
