"The Hydro, St Clair" – This is the corner of the beach where I live. In 1990, a room within this building became my very first studio.

Justin Summerton is an established mid-career artist and surfer who lives with his family in Dunedin. He captures the beauty and isolation of the landscape and has a distinct brushstroke technique which often results in a thick, layered effect.
