St Clair is the epicentre of surfing in Dunedin. It’s a place I never get tired of painting. I think the mash-up of surfers, coffee drinkers, beach walkers, dogs, cars, clubbies and the ocean ties it all together. The weather can sometimes be dramatic, but there is rarely a Dunedin day where there is no surf!

A fascination with animals and plants lies at the heart of Pia Davie's work. Pia likes collecting objects in op shops and car boot sales and placing these discovered objects together to create art.
