The inspiration for these pieces is our beautiful Tui and spectacular Pitt Island.
I was fortunate to be able to live on Pitt Island for 10 months – while my children enjoyed schooling there – I created – the Tui’s were everywhere – with their poignant and evocative song, their hidden beauty of colour – they captured my heart, as an artist I was able to explore and express this within these works.
