When we wash synthetic garments, tiny plastic fibers are released and make their way from the washing machine to our waterways. The GUPPYFRIEND Washing Bag reduces the number of microfibers that get flushed through washing machines and that eventually may enter our rivers and oceans.

The inside of the bag is slick—even where the tiny threads cross—this leads to reduced abrasion and breaking of fibers. The clothes in the bag undergo less mechanical stress and less friction with other clothes, which leads to decreased fiber loss and a longer lifetime of the textiles.

If you use the GUPPYFRIEND Washing Bag, you’ll find fewer fibers in the washing machine compared to washing without GUPPYFRIEND. After washing garments in GUPPYFRIEND, remove the microfibers from the bag and dispose of them by throwing them away in the trash.
