Rustic Rubbed Sage Hutch

We have given this old hutch dresser a full makeover using Peony and Rubbed Sage premium chalk paints.

Using Dark Wax to created a rustic country finish and adding floral curtains, we love the juxtaposition with the fresh Peony. Technique:

We painted the inside of the top half with Peony chalk paint and sealed with Satin lacquer to give a strong and robust finish.

For the outside we used Rubbed Sage chalk paint, painting with subtle texture using our round brush. Once we had full coverage we sealed it with a mix of half clear wax and half dark wax to create a rustic look, wiping the excess off with a lint-free rag.

We updated the old doors with some floral fabric to compliment the Rubbed Sage. Products Used:
