Biryani Box

Biryani is a celebration of all that is great about Indian food. Imagine, the heady aroma of whole spices slow-cooking, the vibrant colour of the marinated meat cooking in its own juices, and the long grains of rice bringing everything together.

My grandpa taught me that if there was a party worth throwing, then the party must serve biryani. Preferably lamb, chicken would do too. The poll was out on whether vegetarian biryani was actually biryani.

Biryani is a dish that unites many Indians. The problem? It takes ages to cook!
