2020 Joé Chandellier Costal Syrah

Joé (pronounced Jo-ey) Chandellier farms 5.5ha in the Languedoc and is amongst the most exiting producers in the new-wave of French naturalists. Organic, wild yeast, unfined and unfiltered this is a lovely spicy, medium-weight red with a touch of wildness.

100% Syrah from bush vines aged 90 years old, planted on deep silt soils. The fruit was hand harvested, macerated for one week, wild fermented and then matured in a neutral fibreglass vat. Organic, wild fermented, unfiltered, unfined, minimal sulphites added at bottling.
