On Wednesday 25th October Daisy was flown to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Wellington Hospital after contracting GBS (Group B Streptococcal), which developed into Meningitis. Daisy is only 18 days old.

The doctors have told Jordan and Casey that their quick actions in getting Daisy to hospital in Nelson actually saved her life! Daisy is a beautiful little fighter and has been responding well to treatment. However, an MRI scan 2 days ago shows extensive shadows on her brain, which could potentially have long term effects for Daisy.

Everyone is staying positive for Daisy however the extent of recovery can vary, and may only become clear over time as her brain develops and heals. Ongoing medical assessments and interventions will be crucial in determining Daisy’s prognosis and potential for recovery.

Jordan and Casey will likely need to remain in Wellington for at least the next 4 weeks. Any donations will be really appreciated to help alleviate some of the pressure they are currently facing as a family and help towards Daisy and her future. Use of funds
