The 3 column can go higher so is more suited to taller people. The best way to work out what is to measure from the floor to your elbow then add an extra 3-5cm to allow for an antifatigue mat.

The 3 column also has 3 motors which simplifies assembly and allows a higher lifting capacity if you have heavy items like printers on your desk top.
