Alex Beanie Free Knitting Pattern

Beanie overview:

- This hat is knit in the round from the bottom up
- 2 sizes to to fit a head circumference of 45-51cm and 54 – 60cm
- Gauge: 31 stitches to 10cm in 1x1 rib stitch in the round

You will need:

- 50g (100g )dk weight merino
- 1 stitch marker and 4 locking stitch markers

- 3.5mm circular needles (or size to achieve gauge) - you may wish to switch to DPNs when the circumference gets smaller, or continue with circular needles and use the magic loop method
- Scissors
- Darning needle

Techniques:

- Italian tubular cast on
- rib stitch

- central double decrease
- k2tog
- Optional, magic loop
