Cape Kidnappers Merlot 2022

From the excellent 2020 vintage - dense rich expression of our Te Awanga grown Merlot aromas of plum & a dark fruits finish a plush round palate of finely grained tannins.

Predominantly Merlot, with the balance from Cabernet Sauvignon & Malbec - all parcels separately fermented in open top fermenters with daily hand plunging & managed aeration - post ferment maceration was varied to optimise tannin extraction before pressing & barrel maturation for 10 months.
