Polishing Kit - 2 Step - deeper scratches/defects

If the paint is really bad a one step polish might not be enough, you might need to do 2 steps. First a more aggressive polish (yellow and v32) to remove more clear coat/paint. This will however leave burr marks from the polishing process behind requiring you to go over a second time with a much finer polish (v38 and white). We recommend swapping out to a fresh pad every 1/4 to 1/3 of a car as the pads get clogged and hot from the friction and removed clearcoat/paint. its not just about cleaning them its also about letting them cool, hammering away with one pad will see it get hot and not only will the pad fail it can also damage the paint surface. You can get away with 3 of each pad will be ok, but 4 is better. make sure you clean the pads the same day to get all of the polish out before it dries or you can get hard spots withing the pad itself, which can damage paint and reduce the life of your pads. if you look after your pads they will last for many many cars, if you do not they will have a short life. That's why we include a few pads and pad cleaner and conditioner in this kit, and the pad cleaning brush. you also get some quality microfiber cloths to wipe down without scratching.
