Since meeting Dave and Ant and discovering their beers back in mid-2024, we’ve been super impressed with DNA Brewing. They have gone from strength to strength with every new beer that they release, which is why we collaborated with them to celebrate our 5th Birthday and brew NZ’s Most Huggable Beers!

🫵In collaboration with DNA Brewing, we asked Beer Huggers to craft the perfect beer, and the results are in! Brewed and canned super fresh, these beers are officially New Zealand’s Most Huggable beers as voted by YOU!🫵
After receiving 1,000 responses on your favourite styles, strength, flavours, aromas and hops, Beer Huggers wanted a 6% NZIPA, showcasing Nelson Sauvin, Nectaron and Riwaka hops. The vote was split between Tropical and Citrus flavours, so we thought ‘what the heck’ let’s brew both! Designed to blow your mind, Dave and Ant have brewed 4 brand new brews for you to try, including our very own NZ’s Most Huggable Beers, a super interesting new Single Hop (Alora) brew and Berry Smash Hazy. You’ll also get 4 of their smash hits of 2024 in this very generous 12x440ml release. You’ll get;

- 👍2x NEW Huggable Tropical IPA (6.0%): Stacked with Nelson Sauvin, Nectaron and Riwaka hops this IPA is bright golden in colour with a lean malt base, balanced bitterness and clean after bitter. Passionfruit with stonefruit and tropical hugs.
- 👍2x NEW Huggable Citrus IPA (6.0%): Stacked with Nelson Sauvin, Nectaron and Riwaka hops this IPA is bright golden in colour with a lean malt base, balanced bitterness and clean after bitter. Citrus with stonefruit and zesty lime hugs.
- 🔥2x NEW One Hop Wonder IPA (6.0%): This beer showcases the Alora Hop which has a high % of the hop oil containing Selinene, a sesquiterpene rarely found in hops. This compound is found in Yuzu fruit and aromatic varieties of oranges. In this beer, peach and sweet citronella and Yuzu citrus notes dominate the aroma with green melon tropical characters also evident.
- 🔥2x NEW Berry Smash Hazy Pale Ale (5.5%): There's nothing quite like the sweet taste of in-season berries to welcome the start of another Kiwi Summer. We've worked our magic once again with the perfect blend of hops to create what can only be described as a lip-smackin’ smash hit.
- 🔥1x Sipper Mario WCIPA (6.2%): We've upped the ante, using Alora and experimental hop #16660, both being used for the first time in a beer. A tropical fruit salad of flavours along with berry and yuzu give fantastic complexity. Malt sweetness heightens the layers in this drop.
- 🔥1x Hazy Haitian Hazy IPA (6.0%): Go on mon, lay back and feel da Caribbean vibes of our Hazy Haitian brew. Dis sun drenched combo of Azacca hops and #16660 will bring all da flavas of tropical fruit - citrus, mango, papaya, tangerine and pineapple.
- 🔥1x Hitman Tropical Hazy IPA (6.0%): For when you need to lay low on the island, this tropical hazy is your perfect escape. Dive right into juicy stonefruit (nectarine) and citrus (lime) notes alongside delicate florals and a super sessionable finish.
- 🔥1x White Sands White IPA (6.0%): Catch a wheat beer base with coriander added at dry hop. Unfiltered, like her mother, hops are Citra, Hallertau Blanc, Comet, and Nelson Sauvin. Think spice, citrus and sauvignon fruit characters.
