REVO AUDI C8 RS6 ECU | 4.0TFSI TWIN TURBO
The 4.0 TFSI V8 EA825 BiTurbo found in the Audi RS6/7 C8 is a serious engine, also powering many of the VWAG premium brands such as Lamborghini, Bentley and Porsche. This new EA825 Audi V8 (derived from the EA839) is a joint calibration between Porsche and AUDI and is manufactured in Zuffenhausen, the location of the new Porsche engine production facility. Developing 600PS @ 6000-6250 RPM, and 800Nm of torque it has all the right ingredients, however as we know there is room for improvement.
Our calibration has been intensively tested on our own in-house RS6 alongside our Global Development Programme. One of the main selling points of this vehicle is the refinement and the driving experience it offers, and Revo Stage 1 software compliments this feeling of refinement further, with the throttle response dialled in it gives the driver a deeper sense of connection with the car. Rather than being pulled, the increased torque gives the feeling of a firm push from the bottom of your back, and it's addictive. This car begs to be driven, optimised power delivery and a hike in torque means you can now drop below 4000rpm and still pull savagely out of any corner.

COLD START PROTECTION
For engine oil to work effectively and lubricate your engine it needs time to warm up. When you first start your car, the cold oil is at a higher viscosity and flows more slowly, limiting the protection it can give to engine components. As the engine temperature increases, so does the oil temperature. This thins the oil, enabling it to run more freely and better lubricate the moving parts of your engine. Cold Start Protection helps protect engine components by limiting RPM until the oil temperature reaches this optimum operating level.
TEMPERATURE PROTECTION
Revo Temperature Protection is an additional safety feature that reduces overall load as the oil temperature passes a set limit. Exhaust gas temperatures (EGT) are also monitored, adapting the operating conditions (Air Fuel Ratio) to ensure they stay within safe parameters. If EGT's reach a set upper limit, then power is automatically reduced until the engine to a safe operating temperature. Additional changes to the calibration, including the after-run pump, to greater help control temperatures.
A combination of exhaust gas temperature (EGT) protection, coolant temperature protection and Oil temperature protection provide additional safety for your engine. Adjustment to the software impose RPM limits based on coolant temps and RPM limit suggestions if oil gets hot.
