About This Product:
The 1994 Bathurst 1000 was won by Dick Johnson and John Bowe, driving a Ford EB Falcon. The race, held on 2 October at the famous Mount Panorama Circuit in New South Wales, saw Johnson claim the third and final Bathurst 1000 win of his career and the second victory for the driver pairing, with their previous win coming in 1989.
An incident during Johnson’s shootout lap saw the duo start from tenth on the grid for the race, but the Dick Johnson Racing Shell-FAI Falcon had pace, clocking the third-fastest time during the qualifying session prior. That pace was proven come race time, with Johnson and Bowe turning in a 1000 km masterclass, leading 99 of the 161 laps to cross the finish line first, with Bowe famously holding off a fast-finishing rookie called Craig Lowndes—who would eventually win the race seven times himself!
The stunning yellow and blue Ford EB Falcon, with its red wheels and racing stripes, remains a fan favourite and one of the truly iconic winning cars of The Great Race.
This two sided gold plated metal and enamel medallion features an image of the winning Ford EB Falcon presented with year, car and driver details and three legendary words included in the design on the rear of the medallion that every Ford fan loves to see - Ford Wins Bathurst.
The medallion measures a large 100mm in diameter and 4mm thick and comes presented in an even bigger clear acrylic display stand which not only protects the medallion from dust and scratches, but also acts as the perfect way to display this collectors item.
