Memory:

Moderate memory allows for light modifications and edge finishing.

Resistance to stretch (RTS):

High – can be handled firmly.

Drape:
Low drape enables material to be handled firmly and is ideal for larger splints.

Rigidity:
High. Carolina holds shape against the pull of the patient or dynamic components.
Bonding & Finish:
This non-coated material is slightly sticky and stays in place during application. It will easily form a permanent bond during orthosis fabrication. The firm material resists fingerprints to give a smooth, matt finish. The edges ‘self seal’ easily if the material is cut when still warm.
Colors:
The base material is provided in cream only.

Perforations:
Available as solid or 1% perforation

Sizes & Thicknesses:
Standard 18″ x 24″ (46 x 61cm) and
Available in 0.1″ (3.2mm) thickness only.

Suggested uses:

Spasticity Splints, Dynamic Splints, Large Splints, Trunk Immobilization, Fracture Bracing.

Suggested Clinical Applications:

- Immobilization splints: wrist, thumb and hand; wide variety of diagnoses including pediatrics, tendon injuries, fractures, arthritis and neurological diagnoses.
- Mobilization splints: serial static approach or base for dynamic and static progressive designs.
- Circumferential designs.

This material is latex free
